Ms. Newville became a teacher to make a positive difference in young people’s lives. When she was in high school, there were a few select teachers she credits with her success in graduating, becoming successful, and going to college. The thing she enjoys most about teaching is witnessing the changes and transformations in the students she works with.

She has been a teacher for two years, and the start of this school year marks her second year as a member of the Ram family.

Ms. Newville loves to read a variety of books and genres, from historical to fantasy. As both a child and an adult, she loses herself in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which is one of her favorite book series. She also enjoys reading Holocaust literature, as it is part of her family’s history and is very personal to her. Some of her favorite Holocaust titles include Night by Elie Wiesel, The Bielski Brothers by Peter Duffy, and All But My Life by Gerda Weissmann.

Watching television is one of her favorite hobbies and a way to unwind after a long day of work. Her favorite shows include The Office, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, LOST, and Vikings. She also loves being in the water and enjoys swimming. Orca whales are her favorite animal.
