Ms. Hammouri was born and raised in Jerusalem and moved to the United States at the age of seventeen. She earned her BS in Computer Science from the College of Staten Island/City University of New York. After working as a System Analyst, she shifted her career path into Clinical Lab Science, where she worked for twenty years.
Ms. Hammouri is married and has three children: a 27-year-old son who is married and has three kids (making her a grandmother!), and two teenage daughters, one 10 years old and the other 17 years old. She loves spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who are two boys, aged 8 and 6, and a 1.5-year-old granddaughter. Her personal hobbies include cooking, traveling, camping, exploring different cultures, and reading.
Ms. Hammouri has always had a passion for working with children and helping them, which is why she changed her career path and joined Milwaukee Public Schools. She is a licensed Math Teacher and has been teaching at Pulaski High School for seven years. Throughout her time at Pulaski, she has taught Honors Algebra, MYP Algebra, Honors Geometry, Geometry, Algebra II & Trig, and Pre-Calculus. Currently, she is teaching Algebra II & Trig. She loves her work and enjoys being part of her students’ lives, although she regrets not discovering this passion earlier.
