Mr. Gerard-Larson loves the conversations, discussions, and interactions he has with his students. Even though virtual learning has made this more challenging, he greatly enjoys hearing new ideas, interpretations, and perspectives from the students he teaches. He considers himself a student and a learner as well, which continues to influence his teaching approach by recognizing what students know and value.
This is his eighth year of teaching and his first year at Pulaski. He has taught at international schools on three different continents: Libreville, Gabon; Budapest, Hungary; and Lima, Peru. He has experience working with the IB program and is excited to be a part of the Pulaski community.
Mr. Gerard-Larson is an avid hiker, runner, biker, skier, and disc golfer. He has traveled to over 50 countries! He is also a big soccer fan and follows the English Premier League as a supporter of Arsenal FC. His fiancée is from Venezuela, and they are eagerly awaiting the completion of their visa paperwork so she can join him in Milwaukee, which they hope will happen sometime in mid-2021. His favorite book is 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez, and his favorite musical artist is Bob Dylan.
