Ms. Huck became a teacher because she has always enjoyed helping others. Special Education holds a special place in her heart, as she has been involved with Special Olympics since middle school, growing up with an older sister with Down Syndrome. She began teaching in 2010, initially teaching high school mathematics. After having her first son, she took some time off. When she returned to teaching, Ms. Huck became a paraprofessional at Pulaski High School within the CAU. After two years as a paraprofessional, she was asked to take on the teacher role within the CAU unit. She has been at Pulaski for five years now and truly enjoys the environment and the students there.

In addition to her professional background, Ms. Huck would like to share a bit about her personal life. She is an MPS alum, having attended Honey Creek Elementary, Audubon Middle School, and graduated from Hamilton High School. She has two sons: one who is five years old and another who will be two in October. Ms. Huck enjoys spending time outdoors, watching baseball (go Brewers!), and being around her family. Her favorite author is Elizabeth Barrett Browning, whose poetry and writings she discovered in high school and immediately fell in love with. She admires Browning’s writing style and the way she wrote about change and played a role in creating it during her time.
