IB Career-related Programme (CP)

At Casimir Pulaski High School, our International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (CP) combines the best of both worlds: a technical education and IB-accredited, globally relevant courses and projects.

Eleventh and twelfth graders follow a career pathway that offers industry-specific courses and experiences. Students combine pathway courses with two Diploma Programme courses and will complete the CP core, a series of projects and assessments that ask them to apply new knowledge and skills to challenges in their community or career field.

Career-related Programme Core

Personal and professional skills course: Students develop workplace skills that are transferable across industries and also relevant in personal and community contexts.

Service Learning: Understanding community issues and how to respond to them draws on skills and insight students accumulate during their MYP studies, CP, and DP courses.

Language and Culture: By studying the Spanish language and Spanish-speaking cultures, students develop intercultural communication skills that prepare them for success and service in an interconnected world.

Reflective Component: Through research, critical thinking, and writing, students study an ethical issue relevant to their career-related studies.
