Sembrando Raices Club for Second thru Fifth Grade Students
We are happy to announce that we will be starting an after-school art club for learning about music, culture, traditions, artistic expression, and NATURE! Students in grades 2 thru 5 beginning on Thursday, January 19 and ending on May 18, 2023. This Club will integrate Son Jarocho or Música de jarana, afro-indigenous musical tradition from Veracruz, México and perform for MPS Cantos de las Americas program in Spring ’23. It will consist of free studio sessions and will meet every Wednesday from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m. Ms. Serna will be sending home additional information.
