MPS High School enrollment is open through Oct. 31, 2023

It’s tim8th Grade Students looking for an MPS High Schoole to choose a high school! Eighth-grade students and families are invited to learn about programs and apply to an MPS high school for the 2024–25 school year.

With nearly 30 high school options in the district, MPS has an ideal learning situation for every student’s needs and future career goals. Many opportunities are available in career areas such as technology, engineering, arts, music, college prep, skilled trades, manufacturing, culinary arts, and more. Students in 8th grade should explore schools now and make their choices for this important transition.

To find a high school that best fits your needs, visit How to Select a School on the district website and select by location or program. To find open house events at high schools and to access the online enrollment form, visit the High School Enrollment page. Enrolling now offers your best opportunity for a chance at your first-choice school—some schools fill up quickly!

All students can apply through a short online form. Families new to MPS will need to provide the student’s 7th grade report card, 7th grade attendance record, and standardized test scores. Current MPS 8th-graders do not need to upload forms in the application. All students will also be required to submit an essay in response to a reading selection. Current MPS 8th-graders will complete this requirement in school during the month of October.

For more information, please call the Department of Student Services at (414) 475-8159.
