Integrated Arts

Our arts-integrated education helps students develop the vision and voice to share their own stories in performances and projects.

Turnaround Arts The Kennedy Center

We proudly participate in the nationwide Turnaround Arts program through the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. We are the program’s “hub” or home school in MPS. As one of the district’s four Turnaround Arts schools, Roosevelt receives innovative, evidence-based programming and resources

Performance experience is not required

All sixth graders study visual art, dance, music, and theater. Seventh and eighth graders choose two art “majors,” developing powerful communication and presentation skills that benefit them for a lifetime.
