Alumni Spotlight

Christopher Glenn, Class of 2010

Actor/musician Christopher Glenn became a musician in Milwaukee at age 14. After graduating from Rufus King, Glenn relocated to California and is enjoying success in commercials and feature films.

Lance Kendricks, Class of 2007

A star in and out of the classroom while he was at Rufus King, Lance Kendricks received six scholarship offers and ultimately decided to become a Wisconsin Badger. During his first football season at the UW, Kendricks made the move from wide receiver to tight end. He earned All-American honors his senior year. The St. Louis Rams drafted him, second round, in 2011. Kendricks spent five seasons with the Rams, donned the Green and Gold in 2017 and 2018, and was a Los Angeles Charger in 2019.

He still remembers his first day at Rufus King.

“English teacher Andrew Dockert told us, ‘Always think outside of the box.’ There are always other ways to learn and do things. I’m always ready to get better and do things differently.”
