Students who owe more than $50 in fees won’t be able to purchase tickets to school dances, athletic events, or graduation.
Ways to Pay
Pay fees online or in the main office.
- Pay fees directly and review any outstanding fees online using your secure Campus Parent Portal account.
- Make checks payable to Rufus King International High School.
- Make cash payments in the school’s main office.
Annual Student Fee
This annual $40 fee covers student handbooks, newsletter printing, postage for mailings, and related expenses.
IB Registration and Exam Fees
Students must register for IB exams on or before October 16 and pay a $25 registration fee. Registration forms and fees can be submitted to Rufus King IB Coordinator Daniel Gatewood (gatewodr@milwaukee.k12.wi.us), whose office is located in the Library Media Center.
The IBO charges $125 per IB exam.
- Milwaukee Public Schools pays 50 percent of each exam fee ($62). Parents/caregivers pay the remaining amount ($62).
- Milwaukee Public Schools pays 100 percent of each exam fee for income-eligible students. Complete an Alternate Household Income Form and return it to the main office to determine eligibility.
- Students can pay IB exam fees at the time of registration. Unpaid fees will be added to a student’s Infinite Campus account and can be paid through the main office.
Graduation Fees
Students will not be allowed to participate in any senior activities, including graduation, until all outstanding financial obligations are met.
Seniors are encouraged to pay graduation fees before March 1 of their graduation year. Graduation fees can be paid in the main office or online.
- Before March 1, graduation fees are $100.
- On March 2, graduation fees increase to $110.
- On May 1, graduation fees increase to $115.
Textbook Fines
Students are responsible for returning all textbooks/instructional materials issued by Rufus King International High School.
Any student failing to return all issued textbooks/instructional materials shall not be allowed to remove additional textbooks/instructional materials from the school until they have reimbursed the school for missing or damaged textbooks/instructional materials.
