The mission of \u00a0Best Buddies is to establish a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). \u00a0In schools, Best Buddies operates as a student-run friendship club, which creates buddy pairs between students with and without disabilities.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Black Student Union Organization<\/strong>\u00a0(Mr. Haslett and Ms. Bishop):\u00a0For the purposes of intellectually, socially, and culturally enriching the RKIHS community, the Black Student Union promotes academic achievement and intellectual pursuit, cultivates dynamic leadership, and strives to eliminate social barriers for all. Membership to the Spirit Squad usually requires a good deal of dedication and time commitment. The School Spirit Squad members usually are required to attend games and participate in cheering for the Rufus King athletic teams.
