Exact ages vary by location.<\/li>\n<li>Are licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, and participate in the YoungStar child care quality rating and improvement system.<\/li>\n<li>Form a safe, healthy, and engaging environment for students.<\/li>\n<li>Promote creativity, reinforce knowledge, and offer a safe space for students to be themselves, offering a diverse set of developmentally appropriate activities:\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>Academic enrichment,<\/li>\n<li>Arts and crafts,<\/li>\n<li>Cultural activities,<\/li>\n<li>Community service opportunities,<\/li>\n<li>Field trips,<\/li>\n<li>Homework assistance,<\/li>\n<li>Mindfulness,<\/li>\n<li>Physical activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Hire and train staff who earn State of Wisconsin Afterschool &amp; Youth Development credentials and receive more than 15 hours of professional development yearly.<\/li>\n<li>Serve students a healthy snack or light dinner.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise safe transition(s) from day school into before- and\/or after-school programs.<\/li>\n<li>Charge affordable rates and are approved Wisconsin Shares childcare providers.
