School Hours

7:25 a.m. – 2:10 p.m.

Educators combine skill-building and conceptual learning in the core subjects with social and emotional lessons to build trust, help children set and achieve academic goals, and model healthy communication practices.

Stuart students take an active role in their education by researching topics of interest to them that relate to their lives and experiences. Stuart Eagles soar as council members, journalists, and problem-solvers who make our school better. They develop confidence, curiosity, and communication skills that prepare them for middle and high school and inspire them to change the world.

Of course, our students understand the power of play. They flex social skills and artistic abilities in after-school sports and clubs. Camp Stuart offers reliable childcare and academic enrichment. Family engagement makes us stronger. Parents and caregivers are a child’s first teacher, volunteers, members of our engagement council, and Stuart School Eagles fans and coaches.

Gilbert Stuart School is committed to excellence in international education. Giving your child a global outlook on life and learning starts at Stuart.

Mission

The Stuart School community will provide all students with engaging, high-quality, and culturally relevant learning experiences so that they can become reflective and knowledgeable global-minded citizens who recognize different cultures and viewpoints, demonstrate academic and social-emotional growth, and seek to make the world a better place.

By the year 2029, Stuart envisions that all students will be working toward academic proficiency through open-mindedness, inquiry, reflection, and agency to prepare for participation in a Global community.

Before and After School Program

Milwaukee Recreation hosts Camp Stuart, providing fully supervised before- and after-school programming that brings academic support, enrichment, and recreational opportunities to K4 to fifth-grade children. Camp Stuart has a summer camp for our students and the community during the summer months.
