IB attributes and skills encourage students to think about and respond to lessons and life experiences critically, thoughtfully, and creatively.<\/p>\n<p>Children who think this way from an early age embrace learning as a lifelong process of self-discovery and community-building.<\/p>\n<h2>Programme of Inquiry<\/h2>\n<p>The PYP programme of inquiry is a school-wide learning map connecting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibo.org\/benefits\/learner-profile\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IB learner profile attributes<\/a>, Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, transdisciplinary themes, and specified concepts to lessons and projects in all subjects. Students learn new material as they develop IB attributes like \u201cknowledgeable\u201d and \u201creflective.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stuart School educators design a programme of inquiry that balances structured lessons and hands-on projects with time for independent study. Students develop their creative voice and vision in music and art classes. They explore the mind-body connection and strategize during physical education class. Studying Spanish helps them develop globally relevant communication skills and greater cultural competency.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the PYP journey, students apply skills and knowledge they have gained over time to research an issue or topic meaningful to them. The PYP Exhibition experience is more than a year-long research project.
