WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL 8TH GRADE RECRUITMENT EVENTS
Elementary, Middle, and Charter Schools are welcome to set-up a tour to visit Washington High School of Information Technology during the 2024-2025 school year for prospective families and students. Parents and gradians are encouraged to attend with their child’s school.
Families and students will learn about what Washington has to offer such as the state of the art fabrication laboratory, the newly renovated gymnasium and swimming pool, athletics, clubs, and student youth groups just to name a few.
Washington High School community wants our families, guardians, and students to feel welcomed and share in the joy our staff and students fell everyday about learning.
Our school tours are guided by the Parent Coordinator, Von McDade, Youth Leaders, and High School Buddy Ambassadors and current students will give prospective families a feel for the school’s environment.
Presentations: Principal’s Welcome briefly highlighting the school’s mission and unique features. Students will share their positive experience and teacher’s will provide opportunities for students and parents to ask questions.
Families and staff will have a light snack in our school store, Willie’s Place and a full lunch with a menu created by our Washington culinary students involved in the planning, set-up and hosting for a sense of ownership and school pride.
Parents and guardians please feel free to stop by our main office for more information and to apply and sign-up your students to attend Washington High School at anytime in your educational journey.
Families are also encouraged to set-up self-guided tours and explore at their own pace with provided maps and brochures during after-school or evenings to accommodate busy schedules. Please review the MPS visitor policy.
