PROM
Washington’s high school prom is a formal dance party for older students, typically juniors and seniors, held near the end of the school year. It’s a significant social event where students dress up in formal attire – gowns for girls and suits or tuxedos for boys. Often held off-campus at a banquet hall or hotel, the night involves music, dancing, and sometimes a sit-down dinner. A highlight for many is the crowning of a Prom King and Queen, elected by their classmates. Prom is considered a memorable rite of passage, a chance to celebrate friendships and mark the transition towards graduation.
