Washington High School of Information Technology follows the Milwaukee Public Schools Districtwide calendar.
Every student’s daily schedule is built around their assigned lunch period.
Our school technology specialist doubles as unofficial deejay during class transitions. Students and staff enjoy upbeat music in the morning, relaxing music in the afternoon, seasonal selections, and occasional requests.
Effective at the beginning of the second semester (Wednesday, January 28, 2026), the lunch periods will switch so that 4th hour classes in the Freshmen Academy will have early lunch and all other classes will have late lunch:

Early Release Days
To allow teacher training in the new MPS literacy plan, Washington HS will release students early at 1:25 on the following days:
