The Washington High School of Information Technology Safe Place provides after-school\u00a0 enrichment activities to ninth through twelfth-grade students at Washington.<\/p>\n

Open from 3:25 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, the program provides structure and supervision by following a 1:15 staff: child ratio. The Safe Place supports Washington\u2019s student-achievement and learning goals by offering enrichment activities that prepare youth for college, and career success.<\/p>\n
The Washington Safe Place is led by three partners.<\/p>\n
Milwaukee Public Schools Safe Places charge a nominal program fee, and most Safe Place programs accept Wisconsin Shares childcare subsidies. The inability to pay fees or to receive Wisconsin Shares authorization cannot be a barrier to participation for students.<\/p>\n

Parents\/guardians can complete Safe Place Youth Participant Registration and Emergency & Health History forms in advance, or get copies on-site. Completed forms must be submitted to the Washington Safe Place. Additional forms may be required as part of the registration process.<\/p>\n
