Bridge programme for 6th graders
July 14th, 2023
Dear Sixth Grade Students:
The new school year is quickly approaching. I hope you have had an enjoyable summer. All of us at Wedgewood are looking forward to welcoming and assisting you as you begin your middle school career. Our school community will be hosting a Middle School Bridge program for all incoming sixth grade students and their families. During this time, we will introduce you to teachers, school counselors, and other staff members. We are pleased to announce the Wedgewood Middle School Bridge Program will be held on July 27th, 2023 from 8:30 am-1:00 pm. To ensure that you are prepared for day one of the school year, it is recommended you attend the Middle Bridge program.
There will also be a series of short breakout sessions featuring (but not limited to) the following:
- Standards-based grading and academic success
- Middle school expectations
- Extracurricular activities
In addition to the above, you may receive your tentative class schedule and locker assignment, and you will receive a tour of the building.
It is very common for students to be a bit nervous about starting middle school. At Wedgewood Park International Middle School, we make it a priority that your transition to sixth grade is smooth and successful. You will meet many students and staff who are dedicated to making this happen. The best advice is to attend school every day, work hard, and get involved in the school community. Do not be afraid to ask for help when needed, and remember, this is your school! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 414-604-7800. If you have not already done so, there is still time to register for our Middle School Bridge program using the following link,
