Our name is our reputation at Wedgewood Park International School, where we have been preparing sixth- through eighth-grade students for global citizenship and success since 2009.
That year, we launched Wisconsin’s first International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP).

We recruit and train IB educators from Milwaukee and internationally to teach MYP courses in mathematics, music theory and performance, and physical and health education. We celebrate international faculty and families during our annual Cultural Fest. Wedgewood Park students develop an appreciation for global concepts and cultures from ancient to modern, and study French or Spanish. They develop technological and critical thinking skills in our digital fabrication lab. The eighth-grade community service project challenges IB learners to examine an issue of global relevance and then combine academic skills and personal interests to present a potential solution.
Creating a safe, supportive school community and making the world better unites students, staff, and families. Wedgewood Park International School uses the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports framework to ensure these efforts are engaging and effective. Students use their voice to hold each other accountable, choose incentives, and celebrate progress toward behavioral and attendance goals. This explains the occasional Friday-afternoon dance party or bonus basketball game! Parents support their child’s academic progress and their school as volunteers, members of our School Engagement Council, and coaches and fans of our Wedgewood Wolves student athletes.

Mission
Wedgewood Park International School aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the school works with Milwaukee Public Schools, parents, and the International Baccalaureate Organization to develop challenging experiences of international education and rigorous assessments.
Our program encourages students to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
