Westside Academy brings collaborative teaching, powerful partnerships, and a legacy of leadership and service to students from K4 to fifth grade.
Students receive individual attention as general and special education teachers work together to deliver engaging, essential lessons in literacy and mathematics. Technology is in every classroom so that students develop tech skills while learning core subjects. Art, gym, and music classes are woven into the school week. Student creativity – and energy – spills over onto Westside Academy’s redeveloped schoolyard featuring a turf ball field, outdoor classrooms, and shade trees.
Educators model positive communication skills and behavioral strategies that reinforce respect and responsibility. Giving back feels good as first- through fifth-grade students participate in yearlong volunteer projects, and older students also lead as reading buddies and youth council representatives. Every two weeks, the Westside Academy Morning Assembly recognizes individual students for their achievements in academics, attendance, and school spirit.
