Congress School is a close-knit community where families return year after year—and often generation after generation.
This deep connection creates a warm, welcoming environment where students, families, and staff feel a strong sense of belonging and shared pride in the school.
Each morning, family members are invited to walk their students to their classrooms, reinforcing strong school-home connections and helping students start the day feeling supported. Families are also welcome to stop by our Parent Center for a cup of coffee and a chance to connect with other members of the Congress community.
“We understand it takes a village, and we utilize ours.”
Families are encouraged to share their talents and interests with the school in a variety of ways, from volunteering in the classroom to joining a council to leading an extracurricular activity. Our flourishing School Engagement Council offers the opportunity for an active voice in school decision-making, and family feedback is consistently welcomed, valued, and incorporated into our school’s vision and goals.
Family input is important, and regular communication between home and school is another priority at Congress. Monthly newsletters keep families informed and encourage meaningful involvement in school life. Congress also uses ClassDojo to help families stay updated on classroom activities and easily communicate with staff. To join ClassDojo, reach out to your child’s teacher for their individual classroom code.
