It is an absolute honor to welcome you to another year of growth, discovery, and community at Hartford Avenue University School. I am continually inspired by the energy our students bring to these halls and the dedication our families show in supporting their children’s journeys.

As Hartford’s principal, I bring 15 years of experience in education to this role, and I’m hoping to use my passion to make a difference. After earning my law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, I began my career as a political operative. I worked on several presidential and gubernatorial campaigns to elect candidates for office before deciding to change paths and pursue public service. I earned a master’s degree in teaching and entered the classroom as a special education teacher, serving students for four years in New York City Public Schools and six years in Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS). During my time with MPS, I completed a second master’s degree in educational policy and leadership at Marquette University. Ultimately, I realized I could make the strongest impact by supporting students and families at an administrative level.

I strongly believe that education is a collaborative effort. Whether you are a returning family or joining the Hartford Hawks for the first time, please know that my door is always open. Your insights, your volunteer hours, and your presence at school events make us who we are.
