Spring Elementary and Middle School Athletics
Interest forms were sent home this week. They are due back Tuesday, March 21st by 9AM.
*Middle School students must be eligible to play sports based on academics and effort/behavior. We will determine if students are eligible, based on their Report Card.
!!!! 4th and 5th grade families, we are still in need of a soccer coach for the spring season. If we do not find a coach we will not be able to have a team. Please contact Ms. Claudine if you are interested in coaching. Thank you!
We are offering:
1st – 3rd grade coed soccer (2 teams: 1 team will practice on Monday, 1 on Wednesday)
5th – 8th grade track and field (practice Tuesdays & Thursday)
5th-8th grade tennis (practice on Tuesday and Wednesday)
6th-8th grade coed soccer (practice on Wednesdays)

4th-5th grade soccer (no team yet, still looking for a coach. See above)

ACT INFORMATION
2023 PreACT District Testing Day March 22
MPS high schools will administer the state-required PreACT to grades 9 and 10 students on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. On this date, only freshmen and sophomores will be in attendance. Juniors and seniors will not report to school on this date but will engage in asynchronous work. Multi-grade schools on the early start calendar (e.g., K–12, 3–12, 6–12) will have regular attendance for students not in grades 11 or 12. Students should arrive at school at their regular start time to allow testing to be completed in a timely manner.
