SPRING ELEMENTARY ATHLETICS: Lotteries were run for the 1st-3rd grade soccer teams this week. Students were given registration forms to complete. Practices start next week!

!! We are fortunate to have a 4th-5th grade Soccer Coach! Forms were distributed this week and are due Monday, March 27th by 9AM. The interest form is linked here: 4th-5th grade Soccer interest Form

SPRING BREAK OPPORTUNITIES:

Extended Learning Opportunities is sponsoring several adventures with community partners for students during Spring Break. Floor23 Digital LLC, WI Humane Society, Wehr Nature Center and Zoological Society,

 Most adventures are FREE of charge for MPS students and city of Milwaukee residents (MPS students receive priority registration). Adventures require parent drop-off and pick-up as well as a bag lunch.

FAMILY HOP, presented by Children’s Wisconsin, is coming back to the streetcar this spring! Featuring fun activities for our youngest riders, this is a great way to explore the city with your children during Spring Break.

From March 27 through April 8, children are invited to play Hop Bingo on board the streetcar. Print out the bingo card at https://thehopmke.com/family-hop/,

take a ride on The Hop and see what you can spot along the way, remember to get a sticker from your streetcar driver, and then bring your completed card to Classy Girl Cupcakes near our Cathedral Square stops to receive a free cupcake.

DANCEWORKS MAD HOT RHYTHM COMPETITION

SAVE THE DATE! This year’s Mad Hot Rhythm Competition will take place on Monday, April 17th at the UW-Panther Arena. Our Upper El students have been hard at work on their routines – come cheer them on in person or virtually if you can! This incredible annual celebration shows off the hard work of 4th – 6th grade students from 41 teams and 32 Milwaukee area schools, as they compete in three dance styles: Bhangra/Hip-Hop Fusion, Tap and Paso Doble. The competition starts at 10AM with Finals and Awards at 12:30 PM. The competition will also be livestreamed on Facebook!
