April 2023 Edition
IB Learner Profile of the Month There are 10 learner profile traits which describe a broad range of human capacities and responsibilities that go beyond academic success. This month we are spotlighting: Balanced: We understand the importance of balancing different aspects of our lives—intellectual, physical, and emotional—to achieve well-being for ourselves and others. We recognize our interdependence with other people and with the world in which we live. Dennis Young, 11th grade, was voted this month as a student that has shown what it takes to be balanced. He is involved in sports year-round, works a job, and maintains good grades, all while having an internship with We-Energies and an apprenticeship with MPS Trades, both of which required a tremendous amount of leg work to even get accepted. Regarding interdependence, Dennis realizes that he can’t do everything on his own and has routinely reached out for support navigating all of his commitments. Lastly, while doing all of this, he is reliable, responsible, and responds to emails in a very timely fashion!!! Congrats Dennis!! |

APEX Middle and High School Fundraiser: NOW THROUGH MAY 5th
Our APEX fundraiser is an ANYTHON, which will be tied to the Community Day of Service for all students on May 5th, 2023.
Students are asking for donations from their friends and family and the greater community to sponsor them for their Community Day activity. Friends and family can contribute to support the student doing good work in the community and funds will be used to support enrichment experiences at the school level.
