If you would like to order online, please use our mylifetouch.com Picture Day ID: EVTWGVWM9

MacDowell Families –

Please display your student name card signs. We want to help assist substitutes or paraprofessionals offering coverage with your child’s classroom.

As the midday dismissal procedure has changed, signs will help staff who have not previously dismissed your child know who the child’s guardian is.

If a family is in need of a sign contact the main office or Ms. Jaeger mossergj@miwaukee.k12.wi.us          Thank you!

MacDowell Spotlight

MILWAUKEE PUBLIC LIBRARY VISITS MACDOWELL

Our lower elementary students received a special visit from the Milwaukee Public Library. Mrs. Wright (also a MacDowell mom) taught children how easy it is to get a library card once a student can write their own first and last name. She read a story and donated a book to each classroom.

See the Library Now flyer below in our Resources section.

BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM

MacDowell families and friends enjoyed an evening of Historical Narratives presented by Ms. Benthien and Mr. Ash of our Music Department. Black Arts MKE participants welcomed all with African drumming in the lobby. The night started out with our Mad Hot Rhythm dancers preparing for their April Competition in an Afro Hip-Hop Fusion dance. Student “reporters”guided guests through a journey of Black history through the performing arts. We enjoyed a variety of selections from time, including choir performances of The King of Ragtime/The Entertainer, ABC, Tomorrow, Girl on Fire, Highs and Lows, and I Wanna Dance With Somebody. High School modern band joined the choir on I Wanna Dance with Somebody and also gave us Robbery. The Orchestra performed All the Stars. A beautiful finale of I Can See Clearly Now showcased all of MacDowell’s talent that evening.
