Mentor 2.0

Mentor 2.0 is a proven, technology-enriched mentoring program for high school students. It provides support and guidance, helping high school students graduate and succeed in both college and the workforce. The program fosters a strong mentor/mentee relationship through sharing professional experiences, networking skills, short/long-term goal planning, and leadership development.

Mentors help students develop study skills, social skills, and learning strategies to enhance achievement. The mentoring relationship strengthens college aspirations, and builds an understanding of college eligibility, the application process, and support systems.

School-Based Mentoring Program

Elementary and middle school students meet with volunteer mentors weekly during or after the school day. Through the support of their mentors, children develop positive attitudes toward school, achieve higher grades, become more confident, and improve relationships with adults and peers. Mentoring matches participate in a variety of activities, such as reading together, going to the school library, working on homework, participating in group activities, or playing on the playground.

Leaders Igniting Transformation

A Black and Brown-led independent nonprofit founded in 2017, Leaders Igniting Transformation (LIT) organizes young people to build independent political power for social, racial, and economic justice. LIT engages in values-based issues and electoral organizing, direct action, public policy advocacy, and leadership development. MacDowell high schoolers can lean on LIT for leadership-development and advocacy training.

Wisconsin Montessori Association

Established in 2010, the Wisconsin Montessori Association supports teachers, parents and Montessori schools in Wisconsin by advocating and informing stakeholders through professional development, school wide support services, conferences and parent education and advocacy.
