Arts @ Large

Arts @ Large provides equitable access to arts in schools through arts-centered education. Students at participating schools enjoy various arts-related activities to nurture their creativity and social-emotional growth. At MSLS, artist educators from Arts @ Large teach art classes and provide structure, support, and inspiration to our students.

PEARLS for Teen Girls

PEARLS for Teen Girls aims to strengthen our community one girl at a time. With the values of Personal Responsibility, Empathy, Awareness, Respect, Leadership, and Support, PEARLS empowers young women and gender-expansive youth. The organization provides self-development tools, guidance, and support for better, brighter futures.

Reflo

Playgrounds across MPS are greener and healthier thanks to a partnership with Reflo. This environmental nonprofit works with other organizations to design, construct, and renovate MPS schoolyards like ours, which opened in 2024. Reflo combines environmental education, water management, and child’s play to create greener, healthier playgrounds. Each project is tailored to the specific needs and enthusiasm of the school’s community and can include outdoor classrooms, recreational facilities, and arts opportunities.
