Programs

Supporting students’ academic performance, classroom engagement, college and career goals, and overall well-being are the focus of these evidence-based programs in place at Clement J. Zablocki School.

Junior Achievement of Wisconsin

We have a strong partnership with the Junior Achievement of Wisconsin program, which inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a global economy. Junior Achievement of Wisconsin provides activities, guides, field trips, and other resources to share lessons on leadership, career preparation, money management, and more. Lessons are organized according to the Milwaukee Public Schools Social Studies curriculum and are implemented in K5 classrooms, continuing through fifth grade.

STRYV365

The nonprofit, STRYV, cultivates resilient-based mindsets with youth and the community by combining sports, social emotional learning education and activities at Zablocki School.

United Nations Schools of International Learning

Fourth and fifth grade students develop research, writing, and presentation skills while studying world affairs and current events in this landmark program, which offers a combined Model UN/World Studies curriculum to more than a dozen Milwaukee Public Schools.

Wisconsin Bike Fed

Through the Bike Fed’s direct instruction, over 25,000 MPS scholars have participated in Walking Wisdom or Bicycle Driver’s Ed curricula since 2005. At Zablocki School:

  • K4 through second-grade students participate in the Walking Wisdom pedestrian safety program.
  • Third and fourth graders receive a helmet when they complete the Bike Fed’s bicycle safety program.
