In our new schoolyard, a rainbow of herbs, flowers, and vegetables represent the home countries of 300+ students who speak a total of eight languages. More than 25 percent of Zablocki students are English learners who receive ESL support as they build literacy and math skills. Parents are partners in education who join our Family Leadership Organization (FLO). Partner agencies invest in our school as members of our Community School Leadership Team, providing literacy services, health and wellness programming, and after-school enrichment activities to support the whole family.
Daily lessons in core subjects like math, social studies, and science are balanced by weekly music and physical education classes. Students grow as scholars and leaders, from writing and reading “Daily Broadcast” announcements to suggesting new activities as members of Zablocki’s Community School Leadership Team. New in 2024, we are learning restorative practices to build a community of care that welcomes and respects all. Working hard and working together is necessary as we focus on Zablocki School’s three key priorities:
- Meaningful Academic Engagement,
- Health and Wellness, and
- Intentional Family Engagement.

Milwaukee Community Schools Partnership
Zablocki School is proud to be a member of the Milwaukee Community Schools Partnership (MCSP). Through MCSP, our students, families, teachers, staff, neighbors, and partners come together to form a strategy that best meets the needs of our students. We work toward academic success and personal well-being for our children.
School Community Partnership for Mental Health
Since 2009, the School Community Partnership for Mental Health (SCPMH) has provided intensive, on-site mental wellness programs and mental health services to students and families in Milwaukee Public Schools. The partnership began in just four schools and has expanded to nearly 40 schools, including Zablocki School.
