Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee

With safe spaces, positive role models, and educational programming, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee has helped local kids and teens thrive since 1887. Today, they provide after-school enrichment in partnership with the school and Milwaukee Recreation through the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center (CLC) at Bay View High School.

City Year Milwaukee

City Year partners with public schools in high-poverty communities to help bridge the gap between what students need and what schools are designed to provide. In doing so, they’re helping students reach their full potential and make it to graduation in communities all across America. City Year corps members work one-on-one with our ninth graders to support them with the transition to high school. They also provide tutoring for all grades after school at our CLC.

Junior Achievement USA

Junior Achievement USA is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Bay View students experience Junior Achievement’s 3DE program through Junior Achievement Wisconsin.

Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers

Through the School Community Partnership for Mental Health, a therapist from Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers spends two days per week at Bay View. As a trusted member of our school community, she works with the teachers and the school social worker, psychologist, counselor, and parent coordinator. For students who receive referrals through our school psychologist, our therapist provides individual mental health counseling during the school day.
