The mission of Morgandale School is to accomplish the goal of excellence for all by providing a safe, respectful, and cooperative atmosphere that will help students develop confidence, responsibility, and self-discipline. Our mission is to provide a solid foundation so our students can achieve the grade-level expectations that prepare them for the transition into high school. We prepare them to be lifelong learners and successful productive adults in a rapidly changing, technological world. Morgandale accomplishes this goal through the cooperative efforts of students, staff, parents, and the community.

We envision that every Morgandale student will be prepared, successful, and productive in a culturally diverse world through the committed, collaborative efforts of students, staff, parents, and the community.

Experienced and Caring Staff

Morgandale is known for its dedicated and compassionate educators. Many of our staff members have more than 25 years of experience, and several began their careers here and chose to stay—reflecting the strong sense of commitment and community that defines our school. Our team works closely with students and families to ensure every child feels supported, valued, and challenged.

A Focus on Restorative Practices

As a restorative practices school, we are committed to building strong relationships and fostering a positive, respectful school community. Our staff has received specialized training and continues to implement restorative strategies that focus on communication, accountability, and repairing harm rather than punishing students. Beginning in third grade, selected students are trained to serve as peer coaches, helping classmates navigate conflict and practice healthy problem-solving skills. In addition, a dedicated MPS restorative practices coach visits weekly to support both staff and students. This ensures strategies are consistently and effectively put into action throughout our school.

Support for English Learners

We proudly serve a diverse student community that speaks many different languages, including Spanish, Rohingya, Burmese, and Arabic. Morgandale offers a standalone English as a Second Language (ESL) program designed specifically for newcomers and multilingual learners. Three licensed ESL teachers provide both in-class support and pull-out services to ensure students receive individualized instruction as they develop English proficiency.

Family and Community Partnership

Approximately half of our students receive transportation, ensuring access to high-quality education for families across the area. Parents and caregivers play an important role in our learning community. We value family voice and partnership, knowing that strong school-home connections help students succeed.
