Library Classes and Book Collection

Library classes from K4 through eighth grade teach students age-appropriate technology literacy skills, research and information-gathering techniques, and provide students an opportunity to browse our school’s bilingual library collection and check-out books to take home.

  • K4-K5 students may check out one book.
  • Students in first through third grades may check out two books.
  • Students in fourth and fifth grades may check out three books.
  • Students in sixth through eighth grades may check out four books.

The Longfellow Library does not charge fines for overdue books. Families are asked to pay replacement fees for lost or badly damaged library books, and will receive such notifications at the end of the school year.
