Many of our K4-K5 teachers hold advanced degrees in special education, bilingual education, curriculum and instruction, in addition to other teaching certifications and qualifications.

The H.W. Longfellow early childhood program provides a positive, interactive, and welcoming academic home for young children who have diverse learning needs:

• K4 and K5 Programs – Prepares students for first grade by focusing on healthy childhood development and providing hands-on learning opportunities to four- and five-year-old students. Longfellow offers bilingual and monolingual full-day options for both ages.
• Early Childhood Bilingual Comprehensive Unit/Autism Focus – Provides intensive speech, language, and other learning supports in a small classroom setting. Program enrolls children who have Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and whose primary language is Spanish.
