MPS Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with Free Event October 7

National Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15 to October 15! MPS is celebrating the rich culture and many contributions of people whose family roots stem from Mexico, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, and Spain.

The largest observance in Milwaukee Public Schools will be the Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on October 7 at South Division High School, at 1515 W. Lapham Blvd.

The 2023 theme for this annual MPS event is “Our Afro Latino Roots: We Are All in This Together.” It will feature Hispanic cultural displays and student performances. Community vendors will be on hand.

The event, which is open to the public, will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Admission is free.
