Activities

Milwaukee French Immersion School (MFIS) students can participate in extracurricular activities, clubs, and showcases focused on the arts, athletics, community service, and more.

Our teachers, coaches, and parent volunteers take extracurricular activities seriously because they help students explore career interests, develop new talents and skills, and make friends. Students who represent MFIS out in the community also get a taste of leadership experience and develop stronger school pride!

Contact our school’s parent coordinator or your child’s teacher to learn more about these opportunities:

Leadership & Service

  • Cub Scouts — MPS students participating in Boy Scouts of America belong to the youth development organization’s Three Harbors Council, which delivers Scouting programs to 5,000 youth in Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha counties. Locally and nationally, the BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.
  • Girl Scouts — Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast is home base for Milwaukee French Immersion School’s active scouting community, which includes a troop in every grade. Through enriching experiences like extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow courageous and strong.
  • Building Learners – Fourth and fifth grade students analyze our school’s impact on the natural world and strengthen their STEM and presentation skills in this environmental leadership group.
