Hopkins Lloyd Community School is the heart of our neighborhood, and I am unbelievably proud to serve as its principal.
I am a graduate of Milwaukee Public Schools myself and have worked in the district for 25 years. I know all too well the importance of schools to our neighborhoods, especially when it comes to the supports we provide for students and families.
Hopkins Lloyd is a family-centered, legacy-rich school community. Alumni bring their own children here, return to join our vibrant staff, and continue to volunteer their time and energy at events that promote our amazing Eagles.
At Hopkins Lloyd, we strive to be a safe learning environment for all students to explore and grow into confident, capable learners. As the principal, I am committed to providing access to high-quality curriculum and hands-on experiences. I am passionate about sustainable gardening and outdoor education, which I will be implementing in our school in the 2025–26 school year.
Our student offerings are always expanding, and our teachers continually improve by advancing their own knowledge and implementing innovative strategies to help everyone reach their full potential. We celebrate students who are flourishing, and we provide supports, interventions, and encouragement for those who need a little more help to succeed.
Our commitment is to support the whole student. It is our mission to foster their physical, mental, and emotional well-being—and to offer assistance for their families as well. Our community partners make it possible for us to help with mental health, homelessness, and more.
We understand that keeping everyone healthy and safe has many rewards for our students. Family involvement in education is essential, which is why we also offer opportunities to support school initiatives and learn alongside children. Strong partnerships at home lead to great learning at school, and we are honored each time a family makes the choice to join our community.
We understand that your child’s education is your top priority—it’s ours as well. We invite you to come soar with us!
